This November, as the community comes together to support the philanthropic organizations making a difference across South Florida for Give Miami Day, the World Jai-Alai League invites local nonprofits* to participate in a special non-profit themed gameday on Friday, Nov. 6.
Hosted at the historic JAM Arena, home to jai-alai, a sport with a century-long tradition in South Florida, this special evening offers nonprofits a unique opportunity to kick off the non-profit giving season by raising funds, increasing awareness of their mission and introducing supporters to the excitement of live jai-alai.
Participating organizations will earn financial credit based on how many supporters they bring on Friday, Nov. 6 as well as by being recognized in one of four categories:
Awarded to the organization that brings the largest number of verified guests.
Awarded for the most engaging and informative display, judged by a small WJAL panel based on presentation, creativity, and interaction with fans.
Awarded to the organization that does the best job promoting Non-Profit Friday Night through social media before and during the event (by tagging #WJAL and #JAMArena).
Fans vote via QR code for the nonprofit that made the biggest impression during the evening.
Whether non-profits are thanking volunteers, engaging donors or bringing together clients and supporters, Give Miami Friday Night offers a fun and meaningful way to celebrate their mission while becoming part of a South Florida tradition that has brought communities together for nearly 100 years.
